I recently had the opportunity to photograph a portrait session for Bill & Kiki and their extended family. The occasion was a special one, as it was Miriam’s birthday and Bill wanted to surprise Kiki with the portrait session as a gift.
The session included several members of their family, including their son and his wife, their daughter and her husband, and Kiki’s mother. We were fortunate to have the opportunity to shoot at the family home where the children were raised, and the weather on this unseasonably warm December day couldn’t have been more perfect.
Although the mid afternoon light wasn’t ideal, the location of the shoot made it work just fine. We started off by taking some photos of the entire group, and then spent some time capturing different arrangements of various subgroups. The family dog, Jedi, was such a good boy the whole time and was a great addition to the photos.
