It was such a treat to photograph Jenica and Steve again, this time for their maternity portrait session at Jonas Green Park in Annapolis. We had previously photographed their wedding back in late 2020, so it was really special to be invited to capture this next chapter in their story.
Jonas Green Park is a great location for portraits because it has a variety of beautiful backdrops to choose from. There are lush green lawns, tall trees, and a picturesque waterfront that offers stunning views of the Severn River. It’s also a popular spot for locals and tourists alike, so there’s always something interesting going on in the background of the photos.
Jenica looked absolutely stunning in her flowing pastel pink dress, and Steve looked dapper as always. We had a lot of fun taking photos all around the park, and we were able to capture a wide range of looks and moods. One of the highlights of the session was when we finished up around sunset with the couple wading ankle deep in the water. It was such a romantic and intimate moment, and the soft glow of the setting sun made for some truly beautiful photos.
Something to note if you’re planning on taking photos at Jonas Green Park is that you’ll need to obtain a permit. But don’t worry, it’s free and easy to get. Just visit the City of Annapolis website and follow the instructions to request a permit. Trust me, it’s worth it to have such a beautiful and versatile location for your portrait session.
