William & Felipe had an amazing time working with this couple during their wedding at The Barns at Hamilton Station in Hamilton VA. This was a December wedding and it was cold outside. William offered to work on some alternative portraits indoors, but they had their heart set on using some of the vineyards beautiful scenery in the images.
The wedding party were real troopers while putting up with the cold, knowing how much it meant to the couple. William & Felipe worked with the groomsmen and the bridesmaids concurrently to save time and reduce the exposure to the cold as much as possible.
The Barns are a rustic, dark, aged wood venue with beautiful warm, incandescent lights strung up to create an intimate feeling. With the proper equipment and skill, wonderful and authentic images can come out of events held there. Below the main level is a long room walled with cobblestone and wood, with an exposed low-hanging ceiling and wood columns throughout. It’s an excellent space for dinner after a ceremony in the barn upstairs. This couple chose to use long communal tables which took excellent advantage of the room’s inherent shape.
