Roosevelt Island Family Portraits | October 2018 with Missy & Joe

Boy oh boy do I love working with Missy & Joe’s family! These images are our from our fifth straight year creating portraits of their clan together. The boys have grown up so much, and they’re sharp as a tack. They probably know more about the branches of government and classical art than you do. Not to mention being able to sport a bow tie with the best of the Time Lords. Every session brings something new, and it’s always a hoot.

In past years we’ve been to the B&O Railroad Museum, Yards Park in DC, Georgetown, Old Town Alexandria, The Supreme Court, The National Portraits Gallery, the roof of their house. Everywhere we go we find something new and interesting. This time around we paid a visit to Roosevelt Island, and wandered the rooty paths toward the memorial full of giant stone and beautiful wrap around water features. We played and laughed until our sunlight started to run out, and in the process captured so many fun and unique images. I can’t wait till next time!
