Working with Will’s mom, Marcie, we decided to stage the ceremony at their local temple a few days before the Bar Mitzvah since photography wouldn’t be permitted during the actual event. This worked very nicely since Will would be doing his rehearsal at the temple on the same day. This gave us a great opportunity to get close ups and variety of angles, and some time to take a few family shots as well.
The following Saturday, we met at Maggiano’s in Tyson’s Corner for the reception. The Bar Mitzvah reception sported t-shirt airbrushing for the kids, games spearheaded by an eccentric DJ, and lots and lots and lots of food.
